‘I May Be a Guild Receptionist’ anime will be released this year in 2024. On the 13th of March, the makers took to their X account to share this news. The announcement was made along with the release of a teaser visual. The I May Be a Guild Receptionist anime’s X account also shared details regarding the main staff and production team.
The upcoming anime is adapted from a light novel series, which goes by the same name. The light novel volumes were published by ASCII Media Works and were serialized under the Dengeki Bunko imprint. It was published on the 10th of March, 2021. The light novel has a total of seven volumes so far. I May Be a Guild Receptionist is written by Mato Kousaka. The light novels were later adapted for a manga version in June 2021.
In 2023, it was announced that the manga would have an anime adaptation. Recently, the makers released a teaser visual, sharing insights from the intriguing plot. It features the main protagonist Alina Clover and she is seen wearing a white ribbed top and black skirt. She is wielding a heavy hammer in her hand, which is twice her size.
I May Be a Guild Receptionist will be directed by Tsuyoshi Nagasawa. The series composition is done by Misuzu Chiba. While the anime will be animated by CloverWorks in association with Sakuraku.
Further exciting details regarding the anime will be revealed during the Anime Japan 2024 conference. It will be held on the 23rd of March and Aniplex will host the upcoming anime’s entire team.
Yen Press publishes the manga in English for the international audience and describes the plot of the series as
“Alina Clover signed up to be a receptionist for the Adventurers Guild thinking it would be her ticket to the good life. Unfortunately, her dream gig turns into an overtime nightmare whenever the adventurers get stuck clearing a dungeon. To save herself from a mountain of paperwork, Alina takes to beating down monsters herself to solve the problem! Now she just needs to keep her activities a secret…”
