Danjo no Yujo wa Seiritsu Suru? (Iya, Shinai!!) aka Can a Boy–Girl Friendship Hold Up? (No, It Can’t!!) is a light novel series. To fans’ amazement, the famous series is getting an anime adaption. Recently, the makers released a new teaser video and a key visual which features Himari.
The childhood sweethearts with be relived through an anime experience and it will surely spike up audience’s curiosity. Danjo no Yujo wa Seiritsu Suru? (Iya, Shinai!!) is written by Nana Nanana and illustrated by Parum. The novel was published by ASCII Media Works in 2021. It has nine volumes in total.

The series was renewed for a manga version. It was serialized in ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Daioh magazine from August 2021. As of now, three volumes has been released of the manga series. The upcoming anime will be releasing in 2025. J.C. STAFF will be animating the series.
Based on a romantic-comedy genre, Danjo no Yujo wa Seiritsu Suru? (Iya, Shinai!!) follows the life of Yuu and Himari. Yuu is shy and loves plants while Himari fun-loving and cheerful. They become best of friends over a period of time. Himari offers to marry Yuu, if he doesn’t find a suitable match until 30.
However, things takes a sudden shift during their High School term. As Yuu comes across his childhood crush, it changes certain dynamics between him and Himari.
