In Episode 6, titled The Ocean! It’s Salty!, Takuya and the twins face off with a Slave Trader at the city gates. The trader tries to claim the twins as his property, but Takuya disputes this, pointing out that they don’t have any slave markings. The commotion draws the attention of the patrol guards, and with the help of Granvault and Issac, the trader is taken away. Takuya is given a letter of introduction and leaves the city with the twins.
Seeing the twins upset from the encounter, Takuya decides to cheer them up by taking them through the Forest of Gaia. He summons his companions Bolt, Feat, and Joule to lift their spirits, and they enjoy a meal together.
The next day, they arrive at the ocean for the first time. The twins are thrilled to taste the salty water and play by the shore. They are soon approached by Milenna, a mermaid sent by the Water God’s retainer, who asks for Takuya’s help. She gives them special bracelets to breathe underwater and leads them to the mermaid village.
There, Takuya removes a large ship that was blocking a cave with important coral. The episode ends with Takuya meeting the Mermaid High Priestess and the Water God’s retainer.
