Bollywood’s “Mr. Perfectionist” Aamir Khan has finally addressed the social media storm surrounding his recent comments about the sequel to a major franchise. After being heavily trolled for admitting he had not seen Dhurandhar 2, the actor made a candid revelation during a recent event, stating that he rarely watches movies at all.

The buzz began during a public interaction where Aamir was asked for his thoughts on the latest box-office hit, Dhurandhar 2. His honest admission – that he hadn’t yet watched the film- triggered a wave of memes and criticism. Fans were surprised that a leading figure in Indian cinema seemed disconnected from one of the year’s biggest successes, leading many to label his remark as “out of touch.”

Refusing to let the narrative spiral, Aamir Khan clarified his stance with a significant revelation. “I know I’ve been getting a bit of heat for not seeing Dhurandhar 2,” the actor remarked “I don’t watch the latest movies. I have no idea what’s happening in Hollywood. I’m in my own world, I don’t really watch stuff.” When it comes to his own films, Aamir said, “It’s not that I have to watch my own work, because I’m working on it, but it’s not that I don’t enjoy watching films. I love watching films. But somehow I don’t get down to it, because it’s not in my system.”

He further explained that when he isn’t working on a project, he prefers spending time on other hobbies mainly reading as he said or with his family rather than consuming content. “I am a filmmaker and an actor, but I’ve always been someone who watches very little cinema compared to my peers,” he added, effectively shutting down the trolls by highlighting his lifelong habit of being “selectively reclusive.”

Despite the online chatter, Aamir remains focused on his upcoming production. This latest statement reinforces the actor’s reputation for marching to the beat of his own drum, choosing to focus on his craft and personal life rather than keeping up with every industry trend.
