YOU has been renewed for season 5 on Netflix. While the fans are eager to grab any update on it, Variety has learned that Anna Camp and Griffin Matthew have been roped in to feature in the upcoming series as regulars.
The pair becomes the latest addition to the cast of the show led by Penn Badgley for season 5, which will also be its final season. It was previously announced that Madeline Brewer will also appear in the show as regular.
Anna will be playing the role of two twin sisters-in-law to Joe Goldberg, played by Penn. The characters have been described as: “Raegan is the cunning cutthroat CFO of the Lockwood Corp who has her eyes on the throne and will crush any adversary..be them family or not.” On the other hand, Maddie is the unserious twin. She has been divorced thrice and her job is vaguely PR. However, one cannot take her for granted as she has some manipulation skills hidden under her frivolous facade.
Meanwhile, Griffin will play Teddy Lockwood, who is snarky yet loyal brother-in-law of Joe Goldberg. He brings authenticity and empathy to the family, however, he has always been alienated from such emotions since he “was never fully accepted by the Lockwood family.”
YOU season 5 does not have a release date as of now.
