Deadpool & Wolverine has given the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) a much-needed boost, especially with the new directions it hints at for the future. The movie not only reinvigorates the franchise but also brings Deadpool into the official MCU fold. This means Deadpool’s usual jokes and comments about Avengers and other Marvel heroes now have real, in-universe relevance. Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool, might even be able to bring some of these characters into his own storylines.

In Deadpool & Wolverine, fans get to see two major characters from the MCU interacting with Deadpool. Chris Evans makes a return, but this time as Johnny Storm from the old Fantastic Four films, not as Captain America. Also, there’s a quick appearance by Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, using old footage from Thor: The Dark World. In a memorable scene, Thor is shown crying over a dying Deadpool. When Deadpool asks why Thor is so upset, Thor mentions that this is from a far-off future.

Why was Thor crying in ‘Deadpool 3?’

The real question is why Thor is emotional over Deadpool. In Deadpool’s world, it’s hard to know when to take things seriously. This scene could be hinting at future team-ups between Thor and Deadpool in movies like Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars. Or, it could just be another one of the movie’s playful jokes.

Deadpool keeps bringing up Thor throughout the film, even shouting his name when he wakes up. This could be a tease of future collaborations between Thor and Deadpool, or it could simply be a gag. Either way, the idea of Thor and Deadpool teaming up is intriguing. While Thor: Love and Thunder might have made Thor seem more like a joke, Hemsworth’s comedic talent shouldn’t be underestimated. Both Hemsworth and Reynolds have great chemistry, and their partnership could be a lot of fun to watch in upcoming movies.
