Hailey Bieber recently opened up about why she kept her pregnancy a secret for the first six months. The 27-year-old model admitted she could have stayed quiet about it until the birth, but she felt like she was hiding a major “secret.” Hailey and her husband, Justin Bieber, shared the news of their first pregnancy together in May, posting pictures of her baby bump on social media.
In a new interview with W magazine, Hailey revealed that she managed to keep her pregnancy under wraps for a significant time. She mentioned that her baby bump wasn’t noticeable until she was about six months pregnant, which is when she decided to announce the news. Hailey said she could have continued keeping it a secret but chose not to because she didn’t enjoy the stress of hiding her pregnancy. She wanted the freedom to enjoy her life and felt that keeping it secret was uncomfortable and didn’t feel right.
Hailey also reflected on the emotional early days of her pregnancy, expressing her deep love for the baby and her feelings of wanting to cherish the time with just her and Justin before their lives change.
Additionally, Hailey discussed the criticism she has faced since marrying Justin Bieber. She mentioned that from the beginning of their relationship, she has dealt with negativity and rumors about their marriage. People often made her feel bad about their relationship, with comments suggesting they were falling apart or getting divorced. Despite trying to ignore it, Hailey admitted that the criticism still hurts and doesn’t get easier over time.
Justin and Hailey Bieber have been married since September 30, 2019, and are soon to welcome their first child.
