Whitney Port, the 39-year-old star of The Hills, recently opened up about her emotional struggles surrounding her upcoming egg retrieval surgery. On Instagram, Port shared that the procedure has been more challenging emotionally than physically. She has been dealing with symptoms like bloating and swelling, which have intensified her feelings of overwhelm.
Port admitted that the hormonal changes are making her feel like everything is going wrong, and she’s also worried about the quality of the eggs being retrieved. By sharing her experience, she hopes to provide an honest look at the emotional side of such medical procedures.
In her post, Port expressed that she is feeling tired and anxious, worried that she might not be meeting her responsibilities as a wife, mother, sister, friend, and coworker. She described having a constant knot in her stomach and being on the verge of tears throughout the day.
Despite these challenges, Port thanked her followers for their unwavering support and encouragement. She’s appreciative of the support she’s received, although she’s still processing her emotions and isn’t ready to fully express her gratitude yet.
Port, who is married to Tim Rosenman and has a 7-year-old son, has faced numerous difficulties in expanding her family. While she had a smooth first pregnancy, her attempts to have a second child have been fraught with challenges. She has experienced several miscarriages, including an early miscarriage known as a “chemical pregnancy.” Additionally, their surrogate has also lost two babies during the surrogacy process, which has made their journey even more difficult.
Despite feeling isolated and alone during this tough time, Port has chosen to be open about her experiences. She hopes that by sharing her story, she can offer support and understanding to others going through similar struggles, and bring attention to the emotional hardships associated with these medical journeys.
