When is the One Piece 25th anniversary?

Picture the Straw Hats smiling and holding each other. That’s the spirit of this celebration! Although the very first episode of the anime aired on October 20, 1999, the festivities for the 25th anniversary have already kicked off! Starting from June 10, an epic week-long global event is underway. Plus, One Piece Day in August will double the fun in this landmark year, promising plenty of excitement in the months ahead.

In the U.S., the party began at the Las Vegas Sphere, where One Piece made history as the first anime to debut on this grand stage. From the Straw Hats’ Jolly Roger to a giant image of Luffy’s iconic smile, Las Vegas locals witnessed a pirate celebration of epic proportions. Next, the global fashion powerhouse UNIQLO is jumping aboard with a special, limited-edition line for One Piece Day, hitting stores on July 22.

Fans of the One Piece trading card game have a special treat coming their way too. The first-ever world tournament is timed perfectly with the 25th anniversary, featuring events in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Los Angeles, and many other cities. It’s truly a golden era for One Piece enthusiasts!
