What we know about Meghan Markle’s ‘outburst’ at Prince William

Once celebrated as the “Fab Four,” this Royal quartet was seen as a cohesive group before Harry and Meghan’s wedding. However, since then, they’ve only shared the same continent once in this decade—the late Queen’s funeral in 2022. Other than that, they seem to avoid each other as much as possible. The tension between William and Harry is well-known, and the frosty relationship between Kate and Meghan is no secret. It turns out that William and Meghan don’t get along very well either.

A new revelation sheds light on a particularly intense clash between Meghan Markle and Prince William. According to Royal author Robert Jobson’s book Catherine, The Princess of Wales: The Biography, there was a heated confrontation between the two that has only recently come to light.

Jobson reports that the incident happened around Harry and Meghan’s wedding in May 2018, a time of high tension. Kate had recently given birth to her third child, Prince Louis, and was understandably not at her best. Meghan, feeling slighted by Kate’s post-pregnancy behavior, made some less-than-flattering comments about Kate’s “hormones.”

This upset William, who reportedly confronted Meghan by getting uncomfortably close and shaking his finger at her. Meghan responded by telling him to “Take your finger out of my face!”

While this particular incident hasn’t been widely known before, it fits a pattern of tension between the couples leading up to the wedding. Harry’s memoir Spare mentions that Kate made Meghan cry over an argument about bridesmaid dresses, and another source claims Meghan made Kate cry with a comment about Princess Charlotte’s appearance.

With such dramatic clashes, finger-pointing, and tearful moments in their history, it’s clear that a Royal reconciliation is still a long way off.
