Wednesday: Here’s everything you need to know about new version of Wednesday Addams unveiled by Netflix

Netflix has introduced a new version of Wednesday Addams to the viewers of Wednesday, and her story is only getting started.

The series, which premiered in November 2022, explores the iconic character, played by Jenna Ortega, as she attempts to master her psychic powers at Nevermore Academy while dealing with a killing spree at the hands of a mysterious monster.

Ahead of the show’s debut, Christina Ricci surprised fans by confirming fans of her involvement in the show. The actress rose to fame in the 90s by appearing in films The Addams Family and Addams Family Values.

It was revealed during the first season itself that Christina’s character Marilyn Thornhill was actually Laurel Gates. The teacher decided to take on the Nevermore Academy after her entire family died following their own attempts to take down the outcasts.

Is Wednesday renewed for season 2?

The series was picked up for a second season in January 2023. Filming for season 2 moved from Romania to Ireland. Due to delay in the production, which was mainly because of SAG and WGA strikes, season 2 can be expected to release in 2025.

Whom of the star cast is returning to Wednesday season 2?

Jenna, Emma Myers, Percy Hynes White, Georgie Farmer, Moosa Mostafa, and Joy Sunday will be presumably reprising their roles. It has been expected that Hunter Doohan and Jamie McShane might also return to Nevermore Academy citing the finale of season 1.
