ABC’s hit medical drama The Good Doctor is set to end its run with season 7 and the cast is ready to bid adieu their show. The news has apparently shared by a fan who ran into the cast members – Will Yun Lee, Freddie Highmore, Bria Henderson, and others – who are in the second last week of shoot schedule. According to X user @/chefbk11, the cast has one more week of wrapping up the story of Dr. Shaun Murphy and all the other doctors at the San Jose Bonaventure Hospital.
The Good Doctor originally debuted back in 2017, starring Freddie as Dr. Shaun, a gifted autistic surgical resident. The show have had an incredible until now and it also became the number one entertainment series in Monday 10 PM time slot for season 6, as per ABC.
Perhaps, this is what motivated the showrunners and executive producers David Shore, Liz Fieldman, and Erin Gunn to end the show with season 7, since it already seems at is peak.
