Sheila Carter has been lying low lately on The Bold and the Beautiful, but she’s about to shake things up again this week. Could Hope become her unexpected new ally?
Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) isn’t exactly the social butterfly of the show. Her inner circle is pretty sparse, consisting mainly of her new husband, Deacon (Sean Kanan), and her minister/co-worker Tom (Clint Howard). Frustrated by Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) keeping Finn (Tanner Novlan) away from her, Sheila might find an unexpected ally in Hope (Annika Noelle).
Hope has started seeing Finn as the epitome of a perfect partner—caring, kind, funny, compassionate, and a doctor to boot. When Beth needed help, Finn was there. Hope has admitted to her mother, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), that she has feelings for Finn but acknowledges she can’t act on them because he’s married to Steffy. Still, she sympathizes with Finn’s predicament.
Hope views Steffy as putting Finn in an impossible situation by forbidding him to have any relationship with his birth mother, Sheila. Despite Sheila’s notorious past, Hope believes that marriage to her father might have changed her for the better. Could Sheila really have turned over a new leaf?
Steffy, naturally, isn’t buying Hope’s newfound sympathy for Sheila. However, this could push Hope and Sheila into a tentative alliance. Both women want Finn to be happy and see Steffy as the main obstacle to that happiness.
Moreover, Sheila might even encourage Hope’s feelings for Finn. If Finn were with Hope, there would be no barrier preventing Sheila from having a relationship with her son.
An alliance with Sheila, however, would undoubtedly cause turmoil in Hope’s life. The Logans, Forresters, and Spencers all detest Sheila Carter, so Hope aligning with her would be crossing a major line.
As Sheila re-emerges, her potential alliance with Hope could turn the show’s dynamics upside down, adding another layer of intrigue to the already complex relationships on The Bold and the Beautiful.
