With the upcoming film Thunderbolts, Hollywood actor Steven Yeun will make his Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut. According to US site Deadline, the movie is centred on a group of Marvel supervillains and was formally revealed during Disney’s D23 Expo in 2022.
Yeun will have a significant part in the Marvel Studios movie. He is most known for his roles in the television series “The Walking Dead” and the films “Okja,” “Minari,” and “Nope.”
He joins a cast including Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Harbour as the Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Yelena Belova.
The movie will be directed by Jake Schreier of “Paper Towns” fame from a screenplay by Eric Pearson of “Black Widow.” The film will be released on July 26, 2024. The Thunderbolts are a group of criminals, anti-heroes, and former bad guys that appear in Marvel comics. Yeun’s next major motion picture, Micky 17, which stars Robert Pattinson in the lead role, is being directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Bong Joon Ho.
