Sean “Diddy” Combs has been accused of sexual assault in a new civil lawsuit, just weeks before his criminal trial is set to begin. An anonymous plaintiff, identified as John Doe, filed the complaint in the New York County Supreme Court, alleging that Combs assaulted him on the set of a commercial in either 2022 or 2023.
Doe, a photographer and production assistant, claimed that Combs invited him into his trailer, where he allegedly coerced him into performing oral sex, promising to advance his career in return. The lawsuit described the incident as a “blatant sexual quid pro quo” and requested a jury trial.
Combs’ legal team dismissed the allegations, stating that he has never engaged in sexual assault or trafficking. They emphasized that multiple lawsuits would not alter the facts and expressed confidence in the judicial process.
Tony Buzbee, a prominent Texas attorney representing Doe, stated that his team was committed to ensuring victims’ voices were heard. He characterized the allegations as “egregious and highly disturbing” and expressed readiness to present the case in court.
Combs, who has been denied bail multiple times, remains in custody ahead of his trial on May 5 for sex trafficking and racketeering charges. His legal team has also faced off against Buzbee in other lawsuits, including a now-dismissed case where a woman accused Combs and Jay-Z of sexual assault.
Buzbee has previously defended his ability to practice law in New York after procedural challenges were raised against him, insisting that he remains in good standing with the state bar.
