Rap Artist Nicki Minaj’s reason for not attending Met Gala 2021 earns her raised eyebrows

Nicki Minaj’s reason for missing Met Gala being that she is not vaccinated and doesn’t want to get bullied to take the vaccine but want to do her own research, stirred internet. Here is what happened.

Nicki Minaj when probed by fans for a reason as to why she missed Met Gala, the rap artist replied that she is not vaccinated and getting vaccinated being one of the major factors for getting entry in Met Gala, she missed the fashion event.

But the reason did not sit well with people. Soon after Nicki through her tweet informed that she is not okay with the vaccines and has some doubts about it. She went forward and shared her doubts stating that her acquaintance from Trinidad, after taking the vaccine became impotent and was about to get married but his fiancé said no to marriage.

Nicki has been facing backlash since then. Many have come forward to call her out, with the privilege of having 22 million followers her statement is bound to make her fans and followers doubt the credibility of vaccine.

When new variants of virus are being found and could have the ability to evade the vaccine, the risk of losing life by being reckless and not taking vaccine can increase. Researches have already proved that the vaccine is good for usage with minimum, non-life threatening side effects in some people.

The tweet by Nicki Minaj read, “My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied.”

Doctors came forward to shed light on the matter of vaccine causing impotence.

In an interview with CNBC,  “We are all human, and we tend to associate things,” Dr. Arturo Casadevall, chair of molecular microbiology and immunology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health . He stated swollen testicles and impotence aren’t side effects to the vaccine. “So oftentimes, things that are not related get associated, and to that person, that association is very strong. But this is why we have science.”

Nicki went forward to say she is not influencing people but stating her side, the rapper slammed people calling her anti-vaxer saying she, “Y’all I been laughing til my stomach hurts yo plsssss omgggg:///////.”
