Oscars 2021 will be broadcasted from multiple location due to the ongoing pandemic

Oscars 2021 will be held on April 25 in the famous Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles, California, United States.

Oscars are known to be most prestigious awards for all the movies that have been produced all around the globe. But this year it seems to have adapted new traditions due to the ongoing pandemic. The Dolby Theater which has been the home of Oscars is located in Los Angeles, California, United States. Apparently the local government body, the city of Angeles is placed under lockdown due to the rise in COVID-19 cases.

Further, the authorities of Oscars 2021 are planning to broadcast the live show from various platforms. An academy spokesperson told the media that the ceremony will broadcast live from multiple locations on April 25. The announcement comes as many cities that are important film hubs, including Los Angeles, New York and London, remain under strict coronavirus restrictions.

Furthermore, he said specific plans are yet to be revealed. But it won’t be wrong if we say the award show will be conducted without any A-listed celebrities. There won’t be any red carpet entities nor will the fans get any chance to cheer their favorite movie star. Only a few actors and performers will be allowed to enter the premises, that too after completing all precautionary procedures.

The Oscars were already pushed back two months because of the pandemic. Director Steven Soderbergh, “Erin Brokovich” producer Stacey Sher and awards show veteran Jesse Collins are producing the telecast. It’s unclear whether or not they will have a host.

Last year stats shows that there was already a huge fall in the Awards show viewership. It saw the smallest audience ever of 23.6 million from world wide.
