One Piece cast members Inaki Godoy and Jacob Romero showed up at the premier for Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender, as the walked the red carpet what seemed to be their first appearance post the Hollywood’s strike.
While the duo hinted at the possibility of season 2, they largely remained shush over its production. However, there have been reports that the shooting is expected to go on floors soon, and whether they have seen scripts. One Piece co-showrunner Matt Owens, in a conversation with Deadline in October, had revealed that the writers of season 2 had a brief meeting shortly before the WAG strike.
Jacob, who plays the role of slingshot master Usopp, confirmed the Straw Hats’ mission next season. He beamed, “Absolutely, we’re headed to the Grand Line.”
He also added that he wishes to see the next season with bigger creatures and more friends.
