Nick Jonas finally speaks up on Indian paps calling him ‘jiju’ and ‘Nickwa’ – Read

PeeCee and Nick had lately visited India to attend the Nita Mukesh Ambani Culture Center’s inaugural ceremony in Mumbai.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is married to American musician Nick Jonas, who has earned the title of “national jiju” since they were hitched. Additionally, he has acquired some endearing and downright amusing nicknames around the nation, but the country’s “damaad ji” appears to be relishing every moment of it.

PeeCee and Nick had lately visited India to attend the Nita Mukesh Ambani Culture Center’s inaugural ceremony in Mumbai. The US artist was also called out by a number of names by the paparazzi during the event, which humiliated and incensed the crowd and fans from India.

However, Nick recently admitted that he loved India and that he was completely aware of all the lovely nicknames that had been bestowed to him back home.

In a recent conversation with the BBC on their talk programme, Nick was questioned about how many Indians refer to him as their “brother-in-law,” or “jiju.” In addition to that, he was also shown the hilarious films of the Indian paparazzi addressing him by strange nicknames.

In response, Nick grinned and said that when he was at the NMACC event.  “A lot of people do. We were just in Mumbai recently, my wife and I, for the cultural center, the Ambanis opened it, and it was a great event. All the photographers on the red carpet were calling me ‘jiju’,” he said.

He claimed that he had also heard that he had been referred to as “Nickwa” by a photographer at the event, which had become well known online.

He continued by expressing his deep longing for India. “I love India. It has been a couple of years since I’ve been there because of COVID-19, so this was a really fun trip. But yes, it was great to hear the many nicknames I have now,” he quipped.

On December 1, 2018, PeeCee and Nick were wed in a conventional Hindu ceremony that included pheras. At Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhavan palace, they exchanged vows. They wed on December 2 in accordance with Christian customs.

Nick has frequently praised India and his wife’s Indian heritage, and the two are madly in love with one another.

In December 2021, the two welcomed a girl into their family, whom they called Malti Marie. Recently, the infant paid her first visit to her mother’s nation, India.
