In June 2020, the streaming world was rocked when Twitch megastar Dr Disrespect was banned without explanation. Speculation ran wild, but no solid information emerged until June 2024.
On June 21, two former Twitch employees shared allegations on X, claiming Dr Disrespect was banned for “sexting a minor” via Twitch Whisper and planning to meet her at TwitchCon. In a surprising turn, Dr Disrespect confirmed these rumors in a statement: “Were there Twitch Whisper messages with an individual minor back in 2017? The answer is yes.”
Dr Disrespect admitted in his lengthy post that, as “an adult, a husband, and a father,” he should have known better. This raises questions about his wife. Who is she, and has she said anything about the incident? Here’s what we know.
Dr Disrespect had previously gained negative attention for cheating on his wife at a streaming event
Apparently, messaging minors on Twitch wasn’t the only unsavory thing Dr Disrespect was up to in 2017. In a tearful stream, he removed his famous sunglasses and wig disguise, admitting to cheating on his wife.
“As you guys know, I have a beautiful family, a wife and kid,” he said, as reported by Mashable. “And I want to be transparent that I’ve been unfaithful.” He went on to announce that he would be taking time away from streaming to focus on his “stupid f–king mistakes.”
Dr Disrespect’s wife, known online as Mrs Assassin, has built her persona around her partnership with the “Dr Disrespect” character. The couple has been together for 16 years and shares one daughter, often referred to as Baby Disrespect or Baby Assassin in his streams. So far, Mrs Assassin has not publicly addressed the controversy; her last Instagram post dates back to June 2020.
Throughout their 16-year relationship, Dr Disrespect and his wife have raised one child together, a daughter who frequently appears in his streams under the moniker Baby Disrespect or Baby Assassin.
