With her viral dance on her well-known song for the Netflix series Wednesday, Lady Gaga stirred up quite a stir. And Madonna has now joined in, flaunting her moves in her most recent TikTok video. 12 years after the song’s debut, in 2022, thanks to the Netflix series Wednesday, Madonna danced along to Lady Gaga’s Bloody Mary.
Madonna appeared to be dancing to Lady Gaga’s song Bloody Mary while standing in the kitchen doorway, just like Wednesday. When it appeared in the popular Netflix series Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega, the song had a revival. For those who are unfamiliar, Jenna’s character Wednesday dances wildly at a school dance to The Cramps’ song Goo Goo Muck in episode four of the streaming series while dressed in a black gown.
Even though the music used in the video was different from the one in the movie, Jenna’s dance did become viral on social media. In videos that were widely disseminated on social media, Lady Gaga’s Bloody Mary was substituted for Wednesday’s music. Despite not being featured in the series, this caused the song, which was released in 2011, to see a rebirth.

Jenna Ortega said that it just took her two days to choreograph the now-viral dance in December 2022. The Wednesday star also provided some intriguing information on the dance. About two days prior to filming, the director, according to Jenna, stopped by her trailer and inquired about her desire to choreograph the scene herself.
Ortega added, “I had not gone over it all. I was doing cello that week, fencing that week. I just didn’t have the time… Oh my God, I was kicking myself. I felt like such a fool.” Jenna added that she watched ‘just anything I could get my hands on’ to get some inspiration for what she should do for the dance. She continues, “I’m not a dancer. I don’t do any of that. I have no experience in that field. I didn’t sleep for two days. I watched videos of Siouxsie and the Banshees, Denis Lavant in Beau Travail.”
