
A photo of Lady Gaga and actor Joaquin Phoenix together was posted on Instagram by Todd Phillips, who is helming the Joker sequel. The first image of Lady Gaga from the movie was made public on Valentine’s Day by the filmmaker.
The singer is rumoured to be portraying Harley Quinn in the follow-up to the $1 billion-grossing 2019 movie that won Joaquin Phoenix an Oscar for best actor. The picture has received more than 1.60 lakh likes on Instagram since Mr. Phillips first posted it.
“Happy Valentine’s Day,” the filmmaker said in the post beside a photo of the Joker, played by Joaquin Phoenix, and Lady Gaga, both of whom have blonde hair, looking into each other’s eyes. She shared the photo on Twitter as well.
According to Variety, Margot Robbie played Harley Quinn in the “Suicide Squad” and “Birds of Prey” movies. The report also stated that Lady Gaga confirmed her involvement in the “Joker” sequel in August of last year. The movie is thought to be a musical.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Todd Phillips and Scott Silver co-wrote the movie’s script. The movie is now being filmed in Los Angeles and New York. Five years after the debut of the first movie, on October 4, 2024, the sequel is slated for release. On his previously produced film “A Star Is Born,” Lady Gaga collaborated with Mr. Phillips.
The first “Joker” was a huge success in 2019, earning the title of highest-grossing R-rated movie ever. The movie received 11 nominations for the Academy Awards that year and won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival.
