On Wednesday, the trio, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston had appeared on The Howard Stern show after the release of their Friends reunion special. Recently, in the reunion episode, the actors, Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer admitted to crushing on each other while they were working on Friends but revealed that they never acted on their feelings.
Jennifer in a conversation with Stern said, “We were in relationships and it was always never the right time and it wouldn’t have worked.” She further added, “The beauty of that was that whatever feelings we had we just literally channelled everything into Ross and Rachel and I think that’s maybe why it resonated the way it did.”
Stern went ahead to ask the actress, why she didn’t “bang” Schwimmer. To which she replied, “He was lovely, David was great,” Aniston replied. “But no, we never, on my life [got together]. And Courteney and Lisa would know if it did because they would’ve heard about it. They can vouch for me,” Aniston added while Courtney agreed to her and said it was “true,” via People.
Jennifer said, “Howard’s not going to believe me.” “No, I would proudly say I banged Schwimmer if that happened. But no.”
The two actors, David and Jennifer had made headlines after they had admitted to having a crush on each other while they were working on the show. During the reunion episode David said, “At some point, we were crushing hard on each other.” He added, “But it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that.”
The 52-years-old actress said, “Honestly, I remember saying one time to David, ‘It’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television.’ Sure enough, first time we kissed was in that coffee shop.”
In the show, the couple, who played Ross and Rachel, had an on-off relationship throughout the sitcom’s ten-season run.
