Jenna Ortega denies dating Johnny Depp and calls the claims ‘ridiculous’

Jenna Ortega and Johnny Depp have been linked, according to sources. The “Wednesday” actress has since dismissed the rumours.

There have recently been reports of a romance between “Wednesday” actress Jenna Ortega and Hollywood legend Johnny Depp. Rumours about the couple’s relationship began to surface after a gossip website named Deuxmoi mistakenly claimed that Depp and Ortega had been seen together on a date.

According to the website, the two may also be working on “Beetlejuice 2.” Although Depp is 60 years old, the actress is only 20. Ortega, who is 40 years Depp’s junior, has finally addressed the negative rumours. They were ludicrous, according to her.

Jenna Ortega clarified the matter when asked if she is dating the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor. Ortega wrote on her Instagram Story, “This is so ridiculous I can’t even laugh.” “I’ve never met Johnny Depp or worked with him. Please quit circulating false information and leave us alone.”

Jenna Ortega rose to international stardom in 2022 after starring as Wednesday Addams in the Netflix horror comedy series “Wednesday.” She was nominated for a Golden Globe, a Primetime Emmy, and a Screen Actors Guild Award for her performance.

The rumours were also refuted by Johnny Depp in a statement released through a spokesman.

It stated, “Mr. Depp has no relationship, either personal or professional, with Ms. Ortega. He has never spoken to or met her. Since his infamous defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard, Depp has been in the news frequently. After suing his ex-wife Amber for defaming him in a 2018 Washington Post article in which she identified herself as a victim of domestic abuse, he eventually prevailed in the case. In 2016, Heard requested a divorce, alleging that Depp had physically mistreated her while inebriated during their marriage. The statement added: “He is not involved in any project with her, nor does he intend to be. He is appalled by these baseless and malicious rumours that are intended to harm his reputation and career.”

Heard was “trying to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse,” according to Depp, who disputed the allegations. Their divorce was finalised in 2017. Johnny Depp later sued Amber Heard for defamation after she published an opinion article in the Washington Post in 2018. According to the op-ed, I spoke out against sexual violence and was vilified by our culture. Heard, who admitted to having been a victim of domestic violence, stated that things needed to change. She did not, however, bring up Depp.
