Jason Oppenheim, CEO of The Oppenheim Group, has revealed that Christine Quinn is welcome to return to the popular Netflix series “Selling Sunset.” In a June 13 interview with TMZ, Oppenheim, 47, expressed his support for Quinn’s potential comeback, provided the rest of the team agrees. “I have nothing against her coming back,” he stated. “I think everyone deserves a second chance.” However, the decision involves multiple parties, including Netflix and the current cast members.
Christine Quinn exited “Selling Sunset” after five seasons in 2022, launching a new venture with her now-estranged husband, Christian Dumontet. Their company, RealOpen, focuses on crypto real estate. Quinn explained to PEOPLE Magazine that her departure was a strategic business move. “I had to make a business decision that was for me, so I had to terminate the contract so I could move it over to my brokerage,” she said. Despite the professional split, Quinn maintained that her relationship with Oppenheim remained cordial, as they had discussed her plans a year in advance.
Quinn’s departure initially stirred some animosity, particularly with fellow cast member Mary Bonnet. However, recent events suggest reconciliation is in the air. Quinn was recently seen at a Los Angeles event with Oppenheim, Bonnet, and Nicole Young, all smiling and appearing amicable.
The current “Selling Sunset” cast includes Chelsea Lazkani, Amanza Smith, Emma Hernan, Chrishell Stause, and Bre Tiesi. The show’s eighth season renewal was announced by Oppenheim in November 2023.
Quinn’s potential return to “Selling Sunset” is complicated by personal issues, including her ongoing divorce from Dumontet. Reports have surfaced about Dumontet allegedly violating a temporary restraining order by having someone watch Quinn at their former residence. Dumontet faces legal troubles, including charges of child abuse, breach of protection order, and assault. In April 2024, he filed for divorce after five years of marriage. The couple shares a child, Christian Georges Dumontet.
What’s Next for Selling Sunset?
Quinn’s return to “Selling Sunset” could significantly shake up the show’s dynamics. Her comeback hinges on the approval of everyone involved in the series. Fans are eagerly anticipating the potential twist her return could bring to the next season, adding a new layer of drama and intrigue to the hit series.
