If you’re missing Tommy Shelby and his undeniable swagger, here’s some exciting news: Peaky Blinders is coming back with a movie sequel!

For the past decade, the Shelby family’s gritty adventures have made for one of the most riveting dramas on TV. Although the show, starring Cillian Murphy and produced by Steven Knight, wrapped up its run after facing numerous foes, it seems like Tommy Shelby’s story isn’t quite finished yet.

Instead of continuing with the usual six-episode seasons, Netflix has confirmed that a movie sequel is on the way. Murphy and the rest of the cast will return to give the story a proper ending.

As for what the movie will be about, details are being kept under wraps. We do know it won’t be a prequel or spinoff. The film will pick up where season 6 left off, following Tommy as he rides off in search of a new beginning.

Netflix has recently made a habit of turning its TV series into feature films, like with The Last Kingdom, which wrapped up with Seven Kings Must Die. The Peaky Blinders movie is expected to be just as ambitious.

Filming for the movie is set to start in September this year. Given the typical six-month shooting schedule and additional time for post-production, the film is expected to hit screens in late 2025. However, delays are always a possibility due to various factors, but we’re hoping everything goes smoothly for the Shelby gang’s big return.
