Cincinnati Bengals’ star quarterback Joe Burrow has found himself unexpectedly caught up in political drama.

As President Biden steps down and the Democrats rally behind VP Kamala Harris, her campaign has been actively fundraising. One notable event was a “White Dudes for Harris” Zoom call that raised an impressive $4 million. Soon after, rumors swirled online that a major donor listed as “Joe B.” might be Joe Burrow, the Bengals’ quarterback.

These rumors spread quickly, with many speculating about how Burrow’s alleged endorsement could impact Harris’ campaign, particularly in swing state Ohio. However, the Bengals swiftly issued a statement denying any connection between Burrow and the fundraiser.

Burrow is known for his outspoken views on social and political issues, such as supporting Black Lives Matter and criticizing the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade. While his positions might lean left, it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s a Democrat.

Let’s cut him some slack and allow him to focus on his football career. After all, his expertise lies in dismantling defenses and scoring touchdowns, not navigating political controversies.
