“Bad Sisters,” one of the top-rated shows on Apple TV Plus, is returning for a second season on Wednesday, November 13. The dramedy, which has earned a flawless 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, will kick off its global premiere on Apple TV Plus, with the first two episodes available on November 13. Following that, new episodes will be released weekly until Wednesday, December 25—making it a perfect Christmas binge!

While Apple TV Plus is known for its strong sci-fi lineup, it’s also become a hub for gripping dramas like “Bad Sisters.” The show is praised for its blend of dark humor and compelling storytelling. As noted in reviews, the series captures the uniquely dark Irish sense of humor in a way that feels both authentic and entertaining.

What’s “Bad Sisters” About, and What Can We Expect in Season 2?

Created by Sharon Horgan (known for “Catastrophe”), who also stars in the show, “Bad Sisters” is an Irish black comedy inspired by the Flemish series “Clan.” The story revolves around four sisters who loathe their brother-in-law, John-Paul (played by Claes Bang), so much that they plot various ways to kill him and protect their sister, Grace (Anne-Marie Duff). The narrative unfolds across two timelines—one leading up to John-Paul’s death and the other following two insurance agents who suspect foul play.

In season 2, the story picks up with the Garvey sisters—Eva (Horgan), Grace, Ursula (Eva Birthistle), Bibi (Sarah Greene), and Becka (Eve Hewson)—as they try to move on from the “accidental” death of Grace’s abusive husband. However, as past secrets resurface, the sisters find themselves thrust back into the spotlight. With trust issues and hidden agendas at play, the tight-knit group must navigate a web of suspicions, lies, and old wounds.

The upcoming season features both new and returning cast members, including Fiona Shaw, Owen McDonnell, Thaddea Graham, Barry Ward, Michael Smiley, and more. The show has been compared to “Big Little Lies,” one of the best series on Max, particularly for its plot, cinematography, and overall aesthetic. So, if you’re in the mood for a dark comedy with a sharp edge, now might be the perfect time to dive into “Bad Sisters” before the holiday season!
