Before the Shreyas Iyer-led Kolkata Knight Riders face Sunrisers Hyderabad, the spectators will be treated to a musical performance of Imagine Dragons’ classics, including Thunder, Believer, and Bones.

The band’s lead vocalist, Dan Reynolds, has confirmed their attendance at the highly anticipated match on the scheduled date.

In a video posted by Star Sports on X (previously Twitter), Dan Reynolds can be heard saying, “This is the stage where we come alive.” “The moment is here.” The singing sensation turned out to be a Virat Kohli supporter. Reynolds praised the former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain, referring to him as “The Greatest of All Time.” “Virat the GOAT, he’s the God of all fans,” he stated. “Visiting India was the highlight of my entire career,” Reynolds said.

The video showed Virat Kohli, Sunil Narine, Pat Cummins, Andre Russell, Heinrich Klaasen, Dinesh Karthik, and other IPL players. The visual representation includes some of RCB’s winning moments.

There were also glimpses of the ecstatic fans cheering on their chosen team while holding banners and placards. The video closed with a brief visit by Imagine Dragons lead guitarist Wayne Sermon. The performance is expected to begin at 6 p.m.

“Can you Imagine? They are ready to light up the night! From ‘Believer’ to ‘Bones’, get ready to feel ‘Natural’ as we face the ‘Thunder’ at the IPL finale with Imagine Dragons,” said the note accompanying the image.

Last year, Imagine Dragons delivered a spectacular performance at the Lollapalooza Music Festival’s inauguration ceremony in India. On January 28 and 29, the glitzy event took place at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse. While mingling with the audience on stage, Dan Reynolds highlighted his respect for the country and its “amazing” food, according to Hindustan Times.
