“Ghosts” is set to add two new cast members for its upcoming fourth season. During the San Diego Comic-Con panel, it was revealed that Dean Norris will guest star as Samantha’s father, Frank, and Mary Holland will recur as Patience, the Puritan ghost who made a dramatic return in the Season 3 finale.

Dean Norris as Frank

Norris, best known for his role as Hank Schrader in “Breaking Bad,” will portray Frank, Samantha’s kindly and well-meaning father. Frank arrives at Woodstone for his first visit in years, along with his new girlfriend. Despite being cordial on the surface, Frank and Sam have struggled to stay close since Frank divorced Sam’s mom when she was 10. Sam resents her father for his absence in her life, and a new ghost at Woodstone forces her to confront these feelings in an awkward conversation with her dad. Norris’ recent credits include roles in “Law & Order: Organized Crime,” “Unfrosted,” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” He is represented by Innovative Artists and Constellation Media Group.

Mary Holland as Patience

Mary Holland will play Patience, the ghost of a Puritan woman who died in the late 1600s. Described as exceedingly severe and judgmental, even by Puritan standards, Patience was expelled from her village for being “a bit too much.” After being inadvertently abandoned underground by Revolutionary War ghost Isaac in 1895, she has become a feral creature roaming the dirt near the mansion. Holland’s previous work includes roles in “Nightbitch,” “Between Two Ferns: The Movie,” “Senior Year,” and TV shows like “The Big Door Prize,” “Star Trek: Lower Decks,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “New Girl,” “The Good Place,” and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” She is represented by CAA, Atlas Artists, and Ziffren Brittenham.
