Imagine spending eternity inside Donald Trump’s brain—sounds like a wild ride, right? That’s the premise of the new Off-Broadway show, Ghost of John McCain. The play promises a mix of absurdity and satire as it dives into this unconventional setting.

Ghost of John McCainSynopsis

The play imagines John McCain’s afterlife as being stuck inside Donald Trump’s mind. There, he encounters a “Greek Chorus” made up of historical and contemporary figures like Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Roy Cohn, Eva Perón, Teddy Roosevelt, Robert Jordan, and Lindsey Graham. These characters grapple with Trump’s constant need for praise and validation.

The production is directed by Off-Broadway veteran Catie Davies. The primary producers are Jason Rose and Max Fose, who conceived the project alongside Grant Woods. The music and lyrics are crafted by Drew Fornarola, and Sunny Min-Sook Hitt is responsible for the choreography.

Earlier this year, the creators stirred up some controversy by inviting John McCain’s daughter, Meghan, to the show after she criticized it, calling it “trash” and a “cash grab.”
