The former hockey star P.K Subban has again gotten himself into another controversy for humiliating Lizzo on International television. While discussing regarding Toronto Maple Leafs’ loss to Florida Panthers 1-0 on ESPN, Subban said how the team would have been better and commented, “Maybe they need to pack a Lizzo-sized lunch, they weren’t prepared in my opinion.”

His statement has taken the spectators by shock for being so disrespectful. Fans have been criticizing him on the internet for making such an unnecessary remark. A viewer wrote, ” PK Subban being fatphobic and the worst panellist I’ve ever seen in my life… pick a struggle,” while another added, “PK Subban randomly dissing Lizzo was NOT on my bingo card for tonight 😭😭.” While a fan tweeted, “Lizzo-sized lunch.’ Gross comment by PK Subban @espn.”

This is not the first time that Lizzo has been humiliated by celebrities but she has never stood back and always backfired at the trolls. Stars like Kanye West and Aries Spears had made inappropriate mentions of her weight and she gave an astounding response to both of them.

Earlier, the singer had spoke with Vanity Fair about how the negative comments about her body have impacted her career. She said, “People have been calling me fat my entire life, but that was the first time seeing an insult of how I looked, who I am, and my music wrapped into one, and it really hurt me. And if one person says it, then another person says it, it multiplies like a f**king virus.”

Lizzo further added, “If enough people on the internet start echoing sentiments about you, it becomes part of your public persona and it’s out of your control.” She has also been a proponent of a whole society of people who have been facing similar issues and stood up for their rights.
