Things are getting messier between Christina Hall (formerly Haack) and Josh Hall amid their divorce. The “Flip or Flop” star and Josh called it quits after three years of marriage, with Christina filing for divorce on July 15, 2024, citing irreconcilable differences. They were supposed to appear alongside Heather Rae and Tarek El Moussa in a new reality TV competition, “The Flip Off.”
In a surprising twist, court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight reveal that Josh diverted $35,000 of rental income from one of Christina’s properties into his personal account. Christina expressed her displeasure, stating:
“I am asking for Josh to account for the funds taken and return them to me as those funds are specifically used to pay any loans, obligations, property taxes, insurance, and maintenance for these rental properties.”
Josh denied these allegations when asked by ET. However, Christina provided further evidence, including a screenshot of a text message in which Josh requested that the “June payments” be transferred to a separate account. Christina claims she only learned about this on July 21, 2024. The property manager complied, believing Christina had authorized the transfer.
Josh Hall demanded spousal support in his divorce filing on July 15, 2024. The couple does not have a prenup, and Christina was not pleased with his demands. In her July 24, 2024 filing, she listed their joint and individual real estate holdings and stated she does not want either party to receive alimony. She believes the case should be resolved with minimal fees or costs.
In her court documents, filed in Orange County Superior Court in California, Christina requested exclusive use of their Newport Beach residence and the return of the $35,000. She claims she solely contributed the funds invested in the property and is shocked by Josh’s actions:
“Quite frankly, I am shocked and concerned by the fact that he has diverted over $35,000 of my separate property money to his separate account on July 8, 2024.”
“The Flip Off” is intended to premiere on HGTV in early 2025, but it’s unclear how these events will affect the show’s release.
