Sydney Sweeney’s latest update on Euphoria season 3 is giving us hope about its potential timeline.
“It’s going to be very, very wild,” Sydney teased in a conversation with Who What Wear, with the outlet noting that the actress said the upcoming season will begin filming “relatively soon.”
The actress, who plays the role of Cassie Howard on HBO’s Euphoria, which has remained a main character since the season 1 of HBO hit series, which was launched in 2019.
Initially, the third installment of the series was scheduled to release in 2025, however, it faced an array of significant delays. Show creator Sam Levinson was previously wrapped up in his short-lived series The Idol, while the other cast members including, Sydney, Zendaya, and Jacob Elordi, were booked for stream of projects in the interim. Post that the 2023 WGA and SAG AFTRA strikes further pushed back the production of season 3.
Now, Sydney stressed to Who What Wear that she is least worried about the filming gap, as she feels like there is “much room for growth for both me as a person and also Cassie as character.”
