Rapper Drake was assaulted onstage by thrown objects after Bebe Rexha, Pink, and Kelsea Ballerini, among others, were hit. According to Deadline, the Canadian singer-rapper was hit on the left wrist while performing the song So Anxious on Wednesday night in Chicago.

Drake looked at the phone on the ground, but didn’t appear to be hurt or particularly irritated, and continued with the show, which was part of his It’s All a Blur tour.

He became the most recent victim of a terrible trend in which supporters throw objects at the stage in order to capture a clickable video moment. Bebe Rexha, Pink, Kid Cudi, Steve Lacy, Kelsea Ballerini, and Ava Max have all been targeted.

Adele, the singer, reportedly warned on stage that she would fight anyone who hurled anything at her.

The most serious damage has been sustained by Rexha, who collapsed on stage after a thrown phone struck her near her eye. A 27-year-old male was taken into custody.

After an object was hurled, Ballerini paused her performance in Idaho to address the audience.

“Can we just talk about what happened?” she asked. “All I care about is keeping everyone safe. If you ever don’t feel safe, please let someone around you know. If anyone’s pushing too much or you just have that gut feeling, just always flag it. Don’t throw things, you know?”

Adele has had the strongest reaction. She told her audience this week: “Have you noticed how people are like, forgetting show etiquette at the moment? People just throwing onstage, have you seen them? Dare you to throw something at me and I’ll kill you.”
