Elon announced the termination of his partnership with X, which they announced as a part of their public commitment to amplifying more diverse voices on their platform. “He informed me of his decision hours after an interview I conducted with him on Friday,” said Lemon on X, formerly known as Twitter.

X responded with a statement of its own on the platform’s business account, as the company called itself a “platform that champions free speech.”

Lemon said he had formed a “unique partnership” with X, under which he was to work for viewers in the “largest possible venue.” The CNN This Morning alum also shared that there were no restrictions between him and Elon during his interview, and was also granted full support from the Tesla founder.
