Probably maybe 1,000 hours of my childhood. And so the sound of hitting a coin, catching a flower, hearing the score, every little detail of the movie, it was like I was hypnotized by it as a child. So to see it now, nothing really compares to it in terms of my relationship to the brand.”
Chris Pratt reacted on the fan passionate fan reaction to his Super Mario voice in ‘The Super Mario Bros’ saying, “I mean it makes sense you know I was pretty nervous when they offered it to me I thought wow let’s not screw this up that’s where it all comes from I think people are passionate about this character and they probably seen some of their favorite IP getting screwed up you know it’s kind of cynical business people make movies just because it had a title as reach they make a movie I saw with the Lego movie I was like how you make a movie about Lego like what is that and then they and then Chris and Phil made this incredible movie I was part of it I loved it so it’s a big challenge just because something has reached doesn’t mean it’s going to be a good movie and there’s instances of people making bad movies and kind of like you know ruining people’s childhoods and so the pressure was on to not do that and thankfully we didn’t. I think the movie is fantastic and I think your childhood is firmly intact.”
