Following the exit of Kara Killmer from NBC’s Chicago Fire, a new paramedic is signing in for the season 12. Jocelyn Hudon from Acapulco, has joined the cast in a recurring role with a series regular option, as per the reports by Deadline, citing sources close to production.

Season 12 has seen quite some changes in the casting. Following the departure of Kara, as she got married to the love of her life, Matt Casey, in a lavish wedding, Rome Flynn’s Derek Gibson quietly said goodbye in this week’s episode.

It must be noted that this is Chicago Fire, so who knows which of the stars might return to the series, or maybe boss around the other actors as directors. Speaking of which, episode 911 of this season will be directed by Brian Tee. One can hope that Soffer is returning as an actor as well, with Tracy Spiridakos leaving after 8 seasons on the police procedural.

All three One Chicago series – Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. – has been recently renewed at the NBC for the 2024- 2025 season.
