Actor Charlie Sheen was attacked at his opulent Malibu home, according to authorities on Friday. The attacker has been taken into custody and is accused of both assault and burglary. According to a statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the actor was summoned to his home by police over a “battery/disturbance.”
The statement said that Charlie Sheen was recognised by deputies as the victim of assault when they made contact with the persons involved. According to the sheriff’s office, suspect Electra Schrock was taken into custody for domestic burglary and assault with a deadly weapon, both of which carried the possibility of serious bodily harm.
Electra Schrock, 47, is a neighbour of Charlie Sheen, according to entertainment website TMZ, who “forced her way into his home and attacked him when he opened the door.” The source stated that the actor was observed by paramedics but was not transported to a hospital. “We’re told she ripped Charlie’s shirt and attempted to strangle him,” the site stated.
According to TMZ, there had previously been altercations between the neighbours, including one in which Sheen’s car was doused with a gooey substance.
Sheen,58, is well-known for being a Hollywood bad boy with spells of substance abuse, destructive behaviour, and romances with porn actresses. He is the actor Martin Sheen’s son. He starred with his father in Wall Street, Platoon, and Young Guns, among other movies.
His television career has featured the shows Spin City and Two and a Half Men, which were both partially based on his reputation for excessive partying.
Charlie Sheen has shared details of his past struggles with drug and alcohol addiction. Charlie, who has a daughter named Cassandra with his ex-girlfriend Paula Profit and is also the father of kids Max and Bob with his ex-wife Brooke Mueller, disclosed in an interview with People that his current way of life is all about being a “single dad stuff.”
