On 2nd March 2023, Carol Burnett was honoured with a TV special, “Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love”. The legendary actress herself attended the premiere. The red carpet of the premiere was graced by Julie Andrews , Katy Perry and many more. The special is set to air on NBC and Peacock on April 26, 2023.
The TV special looks back on some of the most memorable moments of Burnett’s legendary career, from her Broadway debut in Once Upon A Mattress, to her iconic role as Miss Hannigan in Annie, to her acclaimed sketch comedy series The Carol Burnett Show, which ran for 11 seasons on CBS.
Some of her most known work includes the 1967 series The Carol Burnett Show, which ran for a total of nine seasons. She also starred in Mama’s Family, The Four Seasons, Eunice, The Garry Moore Show, and many others. Carol has been awarded numerous times for her work in Hollywood, including her most recent Emmy nomination in 2018. She has a total of six Emmy Awards to her name.
On the special occasion Carol Burnett and Julie Andrews reunited after a long time ,both iconic ladies showed off their undeniable chemistry while posing on the red carpet together in front of the photographers that as always included a healthy dose of smiles and laughter. Burnett and Andrews have a long history as friends and colleagues that date back more than six decades when they performed together on The Garry Moore Show, starting in the early 1960s.
Carol was seen as a bright pink blazer and underneath her blazer she was wearing black turtle neck and black velvet pants along with black flats.
