Just when the Bad Guy tried to get out, Amazon pulled him back in.
On Wednesday, Amazon Prime Video unveiled its order for the Italian crime series, which stars Luigi Lo Cascio and Claudia Pandolfi, which has been a hit among the audience and the critics as well.
Stefano Accorsi will be joining the cast of season 2, alongside the returning members including Selene Caramazza, Giulia Maenza, and Antonio Catania. The upcoming season has been shot on location in Lazio, Emilia Romagna and Sicily.
The series chronicles around Nino Scotellaro, played by Lo Cascio, who is an incorruptible Sicilian public prosecutor who is falsely imprisoned on the grounds of collusion with mafia. Once in jail, he decides to pull off a Machiavellian revenge plan, embracing the ‘bad guy’ tag that has been forced upon him.
The series producers has described the upcoming season to be full on ‘crime and dark comedy’. It will explore more of Nino’s past as he is caught up in between “the ghosts of regret and remorse and the desire for a new life no longer withing his reach.”
