If you’re a Marvel fan, you might have caught all the little cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine. But even if you’re just a casual moviegoer, there were some appearances that stood out and were easy to spot.

One of the most notable cameos was a team known as “the Others.” This group appeared in the Void, a sort of cosmic limbo where the Time Variance Authority (TVA) sends versions of characters that no longer fit into the multiverse. The team featured Wesley Snipes’ Blade, Jennifer Garner’s Elektra, Channing Tatum’s Gambit, Dafne Keen’s X-23, and, of course, Deadpool and Wolverine. They were shown fighting against Emma Corrin’s Cassandra Nova. Chris Evans’ Johnny Storm was also supposed to be part of this group, but he was killed off by Nova earlier in the film.

Are The Others Based on Comic Book Teams?

The short answer is no—the Others in Deadpool & Wolverine aren’t based on a specific comic book team. However, all the characters in the group have appeared alongside each other in various comics at different times.

Marvel Comics is known for its multiverse, featuring many teams made up of characters from across different dimensions. Examples include:

  • Council of the Guardians of All Galaxies
  • Exiles
  • Multiversal Masters of Evil
  • Celestial Gardeners
  • Spider-Army
  • Council of Reeds
  • Council of Kangs
  • Chronos Corps
  • Black Swans
  • Black Priests
  • Carol Corps
  • Deadpool Corps (which also made an appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine)

Given the multiverse’s complexity and the direction the MCU is heading, especially with the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars, it’s quite possible we might see a return of the Others or similar teams in future Marvel projects—assuming they can avoid being hunted by Alioth.
