The next season of American Idol is just around the corner.
The 22nd season of the reality TV show will premier on Sunday on ABC. Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan will be returning as judges and Ryan Seacrest as host.
The show will on its mission to conduct a nationwide search for the most talented amateur singer in Los Angeles, Nashville, Tennessee, and the judges’ own hometown. Post the votes from judges as well as the viewers, a winner will emerge, who will be rewarded a deal with major label and a management contract.
American Idol brings in industry icons such as Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Jon Bon Jovi, and Steve Nicks to mentor and perform alongside the contestants during the season.

The judges of American Idol Season 22:
As mentioned above, Katy, Lionel, and Luke will be returning as the judges. The original judges that most people recognised the show with were Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Paula Abdul.
Meanwhile, Katy has recently revealed to Jimmy Kimmel, on his show, that she season 22 will be her last season as judge on the competitive show.
