Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, son of Bollywood legend Anil Kapoor, recently found himself at the receiving end of social media scrutiny after a few users criticized his privileged background while he was expressing his passion for his favorite football team, Manchester United.
One user on X (formerly Twitter) took a jab at Harsh’s filmography, insinuating that he was squandering his father’s wealth on sneakers instead of focusing on his career.
In a fiery response, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor shut down the troll by listing his accomplishments in the film industry, including roles in acclaimed movies like “Ray,” “Thar,” “Bhavesh Joshi,” “Ak vs Ak,” and “Mirzya.” He dismissed the critic as an “irrelevant loser” who was resorting to bitterness on Twitter, highlighting his own dedication and hard work in the industry.
An X user commented on Harsh Varrdhan’s filmography and asked if he wants to make a good movie or if he wants to continue “buying sneakers” with his father’s money.
Responding to the troll, Harsh wrote, “Where can I watch your films? How many have you done? I’ve done Ray, Thar, Bhavesh Joshi, and Ak vs Ak, Mirzya… Who are you? An irrelevant loser who’s bitter on Twitter who started supporting City once they got rich with Arab money…”

This isn’t the first time Harsh has confronted trolls on social media. In a previous incident, he humorously responded to a troll questioning his encounter with football star David Beckham, asserting his own standing and dismissing the critic’s relevance.
Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, hailing from a prestigious Bollywood lineage as the son of Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor, and the brother of Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, made his acting debut in 2016 with “Mirzya.” He has since garnered critical acclaim for his performances in diverse roles, including his breakout role in “Bhavesh Joshi Superhero” and his collaboration with his father in “Thar.”
Currently, Harsh is gearing up for the much-anticipated biopic of Olympian Abhinav Bindra, a project that has been in the making for quite some time. With his commitment to his craft and his unapologetic attitude towards critics, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor continues to carve his own path in the world of Indian cinema.
