This duo does not require any introduction. Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover were already well-known figures in the Indian film industry. In ‘Alone,’ they play the lead roles. Since then, they’ve never been separated apart.
On April 30, 2016, they married in a small ceremony and have been blissfully married ever since.
Apart from their marriage, their love story is so unique that it should be talked about.
Bipasha had reservations about entering into a relationship until Karan entered her life.
Before falling for Karan, Bipasha was in a relationship with John Abraham for a long time. They both were recognised as one of the sweetest B-Town couples. They were in a live-in relationship, and rumours of them marrying circulated widely in the media. However, the duo ended their relationship in 2011.
Karan, too, was carrying the burden of two divorced marriages, the first with Shraddha Nigam and the second with Jennifer Winget. But as we all know that some things are simply meant to happen. The two met while filming ‘Alone’ and continued to meet after the production was completed.
We believe nothing can compare to their proposal tale, which is the sweetest aspect of their romance. Bipasha admitted that she didn’t think she’d marry until Karan proposed. As she said, “Well, I believed in marriage, but I never thought I would get married. So when he proposed, my first reaction was… What are you telling me?”
Karan added to this, “Let me complete the story for you. We were in Koh Samui, it was December 31 and the sky was lit with fireworks. I was carrying the ring with me and something told me that this is the right time. So while she was capturing the fireworks on video, I took the opportunity and gave her the ring.”
Unfortunately, every loving tale has its setbacks, and Bipasha’s mother was not pleased that her daughter would marry someone who had previously been divorced twice. But we do know that everything has worked out in the end, as the duo is as close as ever and will hopefully remain forever.
