Iqbal had allegedly introduced Sonu to his cousin Rajinder and asked him to perform at an event in another country.
But because Sonu’s performance logistics are managed by an overseas promoter named Rocky, the singer apparently asked Rajinder to contact Rocky. Reportedly, it did not sit well with Rajinder. So, he allegedly sent insulting and defamatory texts to Sonu.
The source said, “Some of the things said in the messages are threatening in nature and ones that need to be investigated. The language used by Mr Rajinder in these messages has been undignified and came as a shock to Sonu Ji, who is one of the most respected and loved artists of our country.”
Sonu also has audio recordings and screenshots of the threatening chat, according to the source.
The artist has a great deal of respect and appreciation for Iqbal Singh Chahal and the job he has done in Mumbai. That’s why he has decided to stay and doesn’t take any against him.
According to the report, singer Palak Muchhal also received threats. Sonu has evidence collected from a number of individuals who have been victimised by Rajinder. According to him, Rajinder has been trying to blackmail people in the guise of his cousin Iqbal Chahal Ji.
