As the country grapples with the second wave of the deadly COVID-19, the medical facilities across India are reeling under pressure as there is an acute shortage of ventilators, medicines, beds, and oxygen cylinder supply.
Among all these, several celebrities have stepped in to help as much as they can. Millions of people are suffering from the virus and the lack of hospital beds and oxygen supply across the country has seen our very own celebrities taking it upon themselves to ensure help reaches those who are most in need of it.
Foremost among them has been Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar. Bhumi has been extremely proactive in dedicating herself to amplifying COVID resources.
She has started a drive to identify plasma donors. However, despite her heroic efforts, the actress lost two people from her family to COVID.
Taking to Twitter, she shared the news, writing, “Have lost 2 people we love from my immediate world in the last 24 hours, 3 supercritical. I’ve spent my day looking for Oxygen & beds for the ones we can save.”
The actress concluded her tweet by saying that at this juncture, there is no space for grief, but only action. “Really can’t wait for this to be over. Please do your bit. #covidwarrior #CovidIndia,” she tweeted.
