Crowd digs road in Burhanpur in search of gold after Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava claims Mughals buried treasure

Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava has been creating waves at the box office and recently achieved another milestone of entering Rs. 500 crore club, making the actor youngest to be on the list.

The movie is based on the real life events of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj [son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, founder of Maratha empire], played by Vicky, and his battle with Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Lately, one of the scene from the movie has resulted in chaos on the streets of Burhanpur, MP.

It has been claimed in the film that post looting gold and treasure from Marathas, the Mughals had buried it in the Asirgarh Fort, Burhanpur, MP. Post watching the film, the locals have flocked to the spot with digging tools, metal detectors, and bags, in hope for finding the buried treasure.

A video of the incident has been making rounds on the social media and is shared on Reddit.
