The nominations for the Chetak Screen Awards 2026 have been announced, with Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar emerging as the most nominated film with 24 nods. Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara follows with 17 nominations, while Neeraj Ghaywan’s Homebound has secured 15.
Organised by The Indian Express Group’s Screen Academy, the awards recognise the best of Hindi cinema and OTT content from 2025 across 31 categories. The nominations reflect a mix of theatrical releases and streaming titles, highlighting the evolving landscape of storytelling.
Established in 1995, the Screen Awards follow a structured evaluation process. More than 95% of the Academy’s 50-plus members participated, with each category assessed by an average of 38–40 members using a trimmed mean methodology. A scoring rubric for the process was developed by Professor Priya Jaikumar of the University of Southern California.
The ceremony, scheduled for April 5, will be broadcast live for the first time in 20 years. It will stream globally on YouTube and air on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony Liv.
