Honey Singh married his childhood friend Shalini Talwar before making it really big in Bollywood as his number one hit maker. However, they separated with a divorce like a decade ago when Shalini filed complaint against him for domestic violence. In his new Netflix documentary, Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous, the singer shared his emotions on his split and the things which were said about him and his relatives. Well, Shalini was also his manager which created problems for him with his family.
While the rapper refrained from sharing any details, citing his out of court settlement with Shalini, his sister made some serious allegations against his ex-wife.
Honey’s sister said it was one of the most challenging phases in the lives of the family. She also accused Shalini of allegedly forcing him to perform during a tour of the United State of America. She claimed that the rapper was paranoid and psychotic, and would not go out on the stage. “I was in my room. He messaged that something is not right with me. He said can you come on Skype. And then he said, ‘Mujhe please bacha lo, gudiya mujhe please bacha le‘. And then he disconnected. I was trying to reach out to Shalini. She said, ‘He has to do this show. You convince him to do this show’. I said I can’t. He told me that he isn’t feeling okay and that something bad is happening. For three hours, there was no contact with them. Three hours later, I’m told that he’s in the hospital with stitches in his head.”
